MEZZO-SOPRANO

Lucie Edel studied at the Paris Conservatory and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, before obtaining her Master's degree at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne.

Beginning a career as a soloist, she then turned to the concert repertoire. In Flagey, she performed F. Mendessohn's Lobgesang with the Brussels Philharmonic alongside Julien Behr. At the Saint Riquier Festival, she sang A Midsummer Night's Dream and Psalm 42 by F.Mendelssohn with the Orchester de Picardie under the direction of Arie van Beek. At the Radio France Festival in Montpellier, she takes on the role of Titania in the new symphony Les Cris de Paris by J.G. Kastner accompanied by the Orchester de la Garde Républicaine. At the Palais des Congrès in Bienne, she is a soloist in C.P.E. Bach's Auferstehung und Himmelfahrt with the Bienne Symphony Orchestra. In December 2021 she sang in Israel in Egypt by F. Handel at the MC2 in Grenoble with the Concert Spirituel.

In the chamber music repertoire, Lucie takes on the role of Diane in the eponymous and unpublished cantata by B. Godard, accompanied by pianist Marie-Joseph Jude and the Vlaams Radio Koor, notably at the Concertgebouw in Brugges, in a production by the Palazetto Bru-Zane. As a duo, she plays guitar and harp, notably on the occasion of Heritage Days 2019 and Museum Night 2020. In June 2022, with guitarist Raphaël Béreau, she launched the duo Superphénix. In summer 2021, the Compagnie du Prix de Rome presents its first show Assassines at the Voix des Forges festival in which Lucie performs two cantatas from the Prix de Rome: Médée in the eponymous work by G. Hüe and Zillah in Judith by P. Hillemacher.

At the opera, she plays Parthœnis in La Belle-Hélène by J. Offenbach, in a production by Shrirley & Dino at the Montpellier Opera. In July 2021 she performed La Nymphe de la Seine in Le Retour des Dieux sur la Terre by F.C. Blamont with the Center de Musique Baroque de Versailles. During the 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 season, she holds the role of Climène in the comedy-ballet Le Malade imaginaire by M.A. Charpentier and Molière, notably at the Opéra de Massy, ​​the Opéra de Nantes, the Opéra de Reims , the Grand Opéra d'Angers, the Atelier Lyrique de Tourcoing and the Opéra du Grand Avignon. Lucie Edel also sings the role of La Beauté in the comedy-ballet Le Mariage Force by J.B. Lully and Molière, notably at the Müpa in Budapest, the Opéra de Reims, the Cité des Congrès in Nantes, the Théâtre Alexandre Dumas in Saint- Germain-en-Laye, the Olympia Theater in Arcachon, the Palais des Congrès in Le Touquet, the Suresnes Theater, at the Jean de la Fontaine Festival, at the Sablons Theater in Neuilly-sur-Seine, at the Thionville Theater and at the Festival of Sable-sur-Sarthe. She played Sylphie in Echo et Narcisse by C.W. Glück at the Opéra Royal de Versailles, which she recorded in October 2022 on the Château de Versailles Spectacle label. She then took the role of the Second Lady in The Magic Flute by W.A. Mozart at the Royal Opera of Versailles in December 2022 and January 2023. We find her in the role of the German Slave in La Caravane du Caire by A. Grétry in June 2022 also at the Royal Opera of Versailles.

During the 2023/2024 season, she will perform with the Superphénix duo at the European Heritage Days 2023, at the Bourdelle Museum in a recital of Spanish melodies. She will resume the role of Beauty in Le Mariage Force at the Opéra de Massy, ​​at the Opéra Grand Avignon, at the Théâtre de Maux and in Potsdam. She will record the part of Mezzo solo in Israel in Egypt by Handel at the Arsenal in Metz with the Concert Spirituel. She will sing the roles of La Paysanne, L'Amante and La Vierge in Don Quichotte chez la Duchesse de Boismortier at the Royal Opera of Versailles.

Lucie Edel is the winner of the Third Prize of the International Flame Competition in July 2019 and wins the Honorable Prize at the Neapolitan Masters Competition in January 2022.
